Making Glass Beads (Lampworking)

3 Day class (9am-4pm)

Tuition: $165

Materials: $50

Students will learn the basics of making glass beads, including issues of safety. The class will be working in “soft” glass and will make simple beads in different shapes, colors, and designs using a variety of techniques and tools.

Debby Gwaltney (Ozone, Arkansas), has a Graphic Design degree from the National Education Center in Tampa, Florida. She has been making jewelry for twenty years and has been making glass beads since 2003. In 2006 Debby received the Fellowship Artist Award from the Arkansas Art Council. In January, 2009 her book, “The Beader's Handbook on Lampwork: An Introduction to Working with Art Glass Beads” was published.
