These techniques will be pushed to extremes using threads and different sizes of beads. We will increase, decrease, add on, shape, cover, and manipulate. And while we are creating we will discuss color, contrast, texture, and design. At the end of the class we should each have at least one strange little sculpture. Eleanor Lux (Eureka Springs, Arkansas) is a studio artist using primarily weaving and beading techniques to create her sculptures and wall pieces. She has taught in the United States, Mexico, and Mali. Her work is in the Arkansas Art Center and she has been published in several books by Lark Publishing Company, plus written up in numerous magazines. |
