Studio

3 Day class (9am-4pm)

Tuition: $375

Materials/Model Fee: $35

An informative and fun portrait painting class,
focusing on capturing a subject's likeness and
personality in oils. The class will be divided into
two parts- the first half of each day will be devoted
to one model, the second half to a different model,
so everyone will have two paintings at the end of the
3-day workshop. Although overall instructions are
given, emphasis is placed on individual attention to
each participant. Particular needs and
questions of each artist will be addressed.

Kevin Kresse is an Arkansas native who supports his family as a painter and sculptor in Little Rock, Arkansas. He has exhibited his work around Arkansas, New York, New York, Washington D.C., Memphis, Tennessee, and Atlanta, Georgia.

Kresse has been awarded painting fellowships from the National Endowment of the Arts-Mid America Arts Alliance and the Arkansas Arts Council. He has also won several awards in the Arkansas Arts Center Annual Delta competition.

Kevin has been featured in articles in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, the Arkansas Times, the North Little Rock Times, the Little Rock Free Press, Active Years magazine, and Soiree magazine. He has also been featured in pieces produced by the local affiliates of CBS, ABC, and PBS television, as well as a film short by Garret Lakin.
