Classes - Youth Art WeekSession Six/July 5 - July 9Beginning Painting on Canvas with AcrylicsCarol Peacock Studio 5 Day class (10am-3pm) Tuition: $125 Students will learn to texture canvas with glue and tissue paper. A still life will be used as the subject of a drawing, from which a painting on canvas will emerge. Each day students will draw from life and their imagination; this will be the source of their painting on canvas. Simple drawing techniques, along with mixing colors and composition, will be taught. Carol Peacock was a child psychologist for thirty years focusing on Art Therapy. Carol has been painting for forty years. She was recently chosen to participate in a public art display for one year at the Administration Building of the Board of Education in Algonquin, Illinois, outside of Chicago. She has numerous gallery shows locally and nationally, and is presently appearing in Woodstock, Illinois and Park City, Utah. |
