Classes - WoodSession Nine/July 26 - 30Wood TurningKip Powers Beginning to Intermediate Studio 5 Day class (9am-4pm) Tuition: $275 Materials: $50 Students will work on simple and more complex rimmed plates, including ideas for decorative highlights. Two approaches to turned boxes will be used. The use of box joint techniques in the making of two-piece hollow forms will be discussed and demonstrated. Kip Powers (Rogers, Arkansas) has over twenty years turning experience. He studied under several national “name” turners at Arrowmont School and elsewhere. He is a member and cofounder of the local chapter of the American Association of Wood turners. He is also a member of the Arkansas Craft Guild. |
