Session Four/June 25-29 Judy

This class will consist of using acrylic paint in a traditional method incorporating several fun techniques, such as glazing, scumbing, and spattering. Students will be working from dark to light, positive to negative, and from chaos to simplicity. In addition, the usage of gold leaf in framing will be explored. Born and raised in the Sand hills of Nebraska, Judy presently lives and enjoys a studio on the banks of the Platte River near Ashland, Nebraska. She has studied with regional and national artists in various media, including a master class with Robert Baxter in Provence, France. She was honored to be selected for an artist’s retreat for two weeks in Bulgaria, 2003 and four weeks in Hungary, 2005. |
