Session Four/June 25-29 Vicki
Hardcastle All Levels Needle felting is a process of sculpting with very special needles and roving (100% wool, cleaned and carded), to get the various shapes. Students will learn to create very controlled designs and three-dimensional shapes. They will also discover that needle felting can be used in conjunction with wet felting. (Wet felting involves using soap and water to blend felt together, usually to make hats or mittens.) Vicki attended East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma where she majored in Art with a minor in Art History. She is a member of the AFTA National Rug Hooking Association and the Shady Ladies Doll Club. She has appeared in both Native American and National Art shows and would like to bring back the art of primitive rug hooking. |
